Learning a few of the skills of a coach will be a positive experience in your quest to be a Cover Supervisor that is always able to provide seamless learning for pupils when the teacher is not in the classroom.
We will focus in this section on two of the most important skills associated with coaching, listening actively and asking incisive questioning that supports challenge and deeper learning in the classroom.
These skills help to create a culture that is solutions focused so that in this situation the pupil takes control of their learning and knows the boundaries that exist as part of the relationship between them and their teacher/Cover Supervisor
