NOTES

A little bit of knowledge about the curriculum goes a long way in helping you to know where the lesson or lessons you are covering sit within the bigger picture.

The Programmes of Study that make up the National Curriculum are very easily accessed via the Department of Education’s website. The link to The National Curriculum Framework for Key Stage 1 – 4 is available if you are in presentation mode on the powerpoint or you will find a link in the resources section of this course.

It may also be useful for you if you have a degree or a particular interest in a subject and can learn yourself some of the knowledge that is pertinent in the key stage that you are working with.
