Learning the Language of the Positive

These phrases and sentences are worth remembering and using regularly in the classroom. Every time you are positive with your language you open your pupils or indeed your colleagues up for wanting to learn more.

I think all would agree that to be told something is wrong, that isn’t good enough or you could try much harder than that is demotivating and demoralising.

If you can turn the negative into a positive even if you mean the same thing then you are winning your pupils over and they will respond.
