Coaching Feedback

NOTES

An essential part of the coaching process is the ability to be able to feedback positively. Following on from the activity looking at pedagogy and the sharing and cascading of good practice it essential to reflect on how one might feedback from observing a lesson, assessing pupil’s work or following up on someone else’s ideas about a series of lessons or a scheme of work.

Ideally we are looking for a coach to learn how to ask the questions that lead the coachee to answer their own questions and know themselves what they need to do to improve.

Feedback should lead to learning, it should motivate and challenge. It should never be critical or judgemental and it should be fair, honest and accurate
