Use the proforma ‘Lesson review-beginning, middle, end of a lesson’ to think about what works for you when you are facilitating a lesson. There may also be some tips in the questions being asked that you don’t currently use that might be something to try in the future.
Using this information sheet can also be a useful prompt for practising your skills as active listeners and asking good questions.
Remember that there are only certain ways that you can start a question that means the person you are addressing has to answer with a full sentence. What, where, when, how, who.
It is also worth remembering that sometimes the word why which is also an opener that requires an answer is sometimes slightly judgemental, Why did you do it that way? Why would you choose that method?
Looks like you haven't made a choice yet.
