A review of the latest OFSTED handbook for schools and what schools should have in place in order to ensure seamless learning from year 6 to year 7 and throughout Key Stage 3
A focus on the sequencing of the curriculum and how to ensure that what has been taught in years 5 and 6 dovetails into what is taught in years 7,8 and 9
A review of the depth of knowledge and complexity of skills that pupils should acquire as part of a key stage 3 curriculum
An examination of how the curriculum is assessed as part of a continuum of learning throughout Key Stage 3 and as a springboard for deeper learning in Key Stage 4 and beyond
Building a consensus of what works well and what needs to change through goal setting and prioritising in order to define the vision and intent for a future Key stage 3 curriculum that delivers consistency and continuity
